I can't believe it's almost here...

A new poster for "Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Dead Mans Chest" has appeared online.

It really isn't much different from the original movies poster, apart from two very noticeable differences: The skull and crossbones are now aflame, and there is a voodoo doll hanging from the skulls ear!

I'm willing to speculate that this means the movie is going to have some even more explosive action scenes, and some hint of voodoo magic will be added in for good measure!

According to Coming Soon:

This time around, Johnny Depp returns as Captain Jack Sparrow and is caught in yet another tangled web of supernatural intrigue. It turns out, Captain Jack owes a blood debt to the legendary Davey Jones, ruler of the ocean depths and captain of the ghostly Flying Dutchman. If Jack can't figure a crafty way out of this one, he'll be cursed to an afterlife of eternal servitude and damnation. And as if that weren't enough, Captain Jack's problems throw a huge wrench into the wedding plans of the blissful Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley), who quickly find themselves thrust into Jack's misadventures.

Yep, I've been following the development of the sequels, and I'm very excited about 'Dead Man's Chest'.

They filmed #2 and #3 at the same time, I believe--so the third shouldn't be out much later than 2007, I would imagine.

By the way--Pirates of the Carribbeaan=best movie in the past 3 years (to me, at least).

I hope it doesn't suffer the same fate as Matrix: Reloaded and Matrix: Revolutions did.

im sure its gonna be fun and all ... but was there a need to make it into a trilogy?

why cant they leave things at 1 ... especially when 1 is good and you dont want to end up as a mediocre set of films

:( , If he does appear in one of them, it goes on my list of best cameo's. I would think they have to do it just because of how much the sparrow charachter is based on Richards.

As for the movie, I'm a little hesitant after reading the plot but the first one was a really good summer movie so I'll go in with an open mind.
