September 26, 200521 yr My guess is any trade involving Lowell the Marlins will have to eat some or most of the contract. Maybe they can afford to that with Hampton's money coming off the books.
September 26, 200521 yr Willy>Aguila? I dont think so. It seems, at the MLB level, both would hit for about the same average and power, add in Aguilas superior defense and ability to swipe bags, Aguila is far more valueable. Um no. OBP/SLG/AVG (These are AAA stats) Willy .455 .676 .324 Aguila .412 .630 .355 Willingham gets on-base a lot more and out slugs Aguila. Keep in mind Willy played twice as many games in AAA.
September 26, 200521 yr People over-rate Willingham as much as I do Aguila...he'd be most valueable to us if we trade.
September 26, 200521 yr Willingham has improved statically every year (including this year) as he has moved up in the system. When it is all said and done, I believe Willingham will be an excellent major league player (hopefully for the Marlins).
