Is Dontrelle being figured out by Offenses

Featured Replies

no, not yet

if 2 plays are made in the LA game we have a different story....

i think he is fine

He hasn't necessarily pitched bad at all (except in Chiacago after the rain). He hasn't gotten the breaks and like Ramp said, a few more plays made and your not even asking this question. As time goes on, hitters will get a feel for him but that doesn't make him any less dominant in my opinion. Its hard to pick up his pitches but when hitters think they may have him "figured" he still throws smoke. He's fine. Cy in 04....

I've never seen any rookies go a season without a few bad outings. It's going to happen. He's doing incredibly well for a guy who had spent only a month in AA before being called up to the MAJORS. There's no doubt in my mind that he has amazing talent.

I think Dontrelle is being figured out, but not much. I think, no matter how many times they see him, he is still going to be a good pitcher, and a key part of the Marlins future. He isn't going to be a complete K-Rod, and fall apart next season, but he isn't going to go 9-1 before the All-Star break either. I can still see him as a consistent 15-20 game winner.
