August 18, 200323 yr This Cover Boy thing is scary, and D-Train may be asked to be a cover boy soon..... The cover jinx is only for SI and Madden, don't worry about it.
August 19, 200323 yr This is ironically what happens when everyone annoints a person MVP before the season. After one good year people were ready to annoint him the next Marino, Favre, or Young. And now hes not even gonna play his first 4-6 games. I wish injuries on nobody, but I find it almost fitting that this should be a lesson to the rest of the media and NFL, fans, etc. that annoint him MVP, that there a few players in the NFL that as long as they can walk will be the best if they are in the league. Marshall Faulk Brett Favre Terrell Owens Ray Lewis Drew Bledsoe Jason Taylor Derrick Brooks Warren Sapp Randy Moss Brian Urlacher Marvin Harrison In my opinion Vick needs to have a great season this year when he comes back, an MVP type season to be mentioned with those MVP type players.

Mike "God Incarnate" Vick has the most talent among all of those. I've been following him since his days at Va Tech, I'm afraid of him when he plays my team even when he is hurt. He has already proven himself to be a great in my eyes, and I cannot wait until he comes back and shuts you up AGAIN Phlub. But it became obvious when I was tyiping that last sentence why you don't like Vick. Exhibit A: Last year's playoffs. The Chosen One beats you on your own turf. :mischief2
August 19, 200323 yr there go the falcons playoff hopes......there not gonna be able to win without him,he's to big a part of the team.

What do you expect the media to do Phlub? It's all preseason hype. The guy had a great year and so of course the media (and fans) are expecting even bigger and better things from him. He's been everything we have expected and more. To say this should serve everybody right is kind of silly I think. You've said time and again your a "football expert" assoc. with media outlets (radio, tv) so I would think you of all people would understand preseason hype.
August 20, 200323 yr Do you people forget that The Falco's won their game against The Giants(A playoff team) last year with Johnson? People are putting too much damn attention on this overhyped QB. He can run that's really nice but he was rolled over by The Iggles last year.
August 20, 200323 yr Juanky take your time to get to know me. I love Michael Vick. And the fact that he beat us at Lambeau, the Packers have nobody to blame but themselves. But Juanky the fact that your comparing Michael Vick to Favre, and Faulk who have 4 MVP's between them. Moss, Owens, and Harrison who are the 3 best WR's in the game. Sapp, Lewis, Brooks, Taylor, and Urlacher who are the best there is on Defense. and Drew Bledsoe whose been to 2 Super Bowls and won one. Between those guys there is... - 4 NFL MVPs - 9 Individual Super Bowl Appearances - 5 Individual Super Bowl Wins - 1 Super Bowl MVP - 2 of the Best Pass Rushers in the game. - 2 of the Best MLB's we've seen in 10-15 years. - Over 60 thousand Yards Passing - Somwhere around 10 thousand Yards Rushing - Over 10 thousand Yards Recieving - Over 200 Rec. TD's - Somewhere in the neighborhood between 500-1000 TD's combined between them all There's no comparison. Those guys have shown consistency. I love Michael Vick, and I love what he brings to the game. Of course he has loads of talent, but as of now, hes not a better football player, as far as pure football goes. If Michael comes back this year and plays like he did last year, or anywhere in that realm, then he can be mentioned with those names. Hell I love Vick. Outside of Brett Favre, Bubba Franks, and Gilbert Brown, hes my Favorite Player. The fact that he beat us at Lambeau means something to me, but not that much, because thats a game where he showed up, the fans showed up, but the Packers got locked into their hotels and didn't show up. And I was only named a "young football expert in my area" and went on TV and talked about where I thought the Packers would be last year and the rest of the NFL. I will put my 2 cents in for a local paper 1-2 times a year. But the only thing I'm doing this year is going on the Local Sports Radio Station and talking with some of the other Local Experts 2-3 times throughout the season who have their heads so far up their asses, (they're picking the Pack to go 13-3/14-2, when really the Pack will be 10-6/11-5) But this is the last year I want to do such a thing. Because I just wanna hang out with my friends and enjoy football.
August 20, 200323 yr Well, I am no football expert. Baseball is my sport. I don't much pro football outside the Dolphins and players that stood out to me during their stay in the college ranks. But I will tell you this: If Mike Vick plays to half the ability hes capable of, he is a sure fire first ballot hall of famer.
