I was surprised to visit here after the game and see no threads proclaiming the success (at least offensively) of Hermida, Aguila and Willingham, and seven runs scored. While we lost, at least we put some runs up, Hermida, clocked one and had three hits, Aguila had two hits and an RBI and Willingham had a hit.

 

Yeah I know Willy was awful behind the plate and Messenger continues to frustrate (oh man, isn't it so obvious what he's doing wrong, I can only believe he refuses to listen to Wiley because if you can see it from the upperdeck (not tonight) you have to be able to see it from the dugout. Someone get that kid some Randy Johnson tapes and quick !!!

 

Josh Wilson isn't ready for primetime and Andino may not be either, but if next season the Marlins give the three kids a real chance to make the squad I suspect we'll all be pleasantly surprised.

 

Let's see what they can do for the last three games. I hope Jack plays them Friday and Saturday at least (although I suspect for Dontrelle's last start on Sunday I think you'll see LoDuca and Delgado in the lineup for sure).

Why in the hell wasn't Delgado used as a pinch hitter? Surely he would've been better than Dillon. If he had a hit, who knows what would've happened. Same with Lo Duca and Encarnacion, they could've at least been used as pinch hitters.

I wish I could have seen it. I'm in Atlanta tonight and managed to get out to the ballpark to watch the Rockies drub the little Braves 10-5. It was a fun game to watch since there was plenty of action. I managed to get a seat in the 2nd row behind the visiting dugout.

 

But I kept watching the scoreboard and was a bit disappointed to see the Rockies rack up 7 runs against us in the 4th inning. I suppose it's clear Messenger was rushed to the majors and needs another season or two in the minors to refine his stuff.

 

It was good to see the team attempt a comeback and to score throughout the game. I looked at the box score and saw the young ones stepping it and it looked good. I'm looking forward to watching them play this weekend on Saturday and Sunday.
