Or does it keep seeming more and more likely to you that we'll be keeping players thought to be formerly lost?

Lowell was considered a goner in June (most of all by Filet 'O Fish). Now we are all in agreement that he's most likely going to be here another 3-4 years (assuming they don't just give him arbitration).

Pudge was considered a rental, but now it seems as if his future with the team is up in the sky. Same applies to possibly Castillo and Lee.

WC, for all you now we could lose every game till the end of the season and the team could be sold off. We need to stop speculating and start enjoying and talking about what is happening.

This idle chatter is not going to get us anywhere.

You can't ignore the future, and the big question mark that is in store for our soon to be "roller coaster" off-season.

sure you can. I enjoyed the 97 season so much, because I didnt worry about the rumors that the team might dissolve. I will enjoy this season, and not worry about what happens in the off season.

I'll enjoy this season as well, no doubt about that.

But the thought is in the back of my mind, and should be.

We are going to sign Lowell for a multi year deal so thats locked and Pudge seems to like it here and he will probally stay. Lee and Castillo have a 70% chance of been gone and Penny might go to.

*hopes to eat crow later, but most likely cooking it for ajheat100mph*

Very funny, its true what i said if you had read past articles.

Does anybody have the names of FA 1st Basemen next season that could be/are decent starters?

It was never stated Lowell is definetly coming back nor that Pudge will probably stay. I have never seen percentages for chances of players staying in part because nobody knows that.

I think he was estimating, but hey...

Anyways, I think it's becoming more and more clear that Castro will start SOMEWHERE next year, whether it be here or elsewhere.
