OldSand
This isn't enough anymore. We need to do something bigger. I would suggest a rally, but remember when they were talking about contraction and there was a rally to keep the Marlins alive? It was a pathetic showing that only hurt the cause. Maybe rioting will get the job done.

fauowls44
You know the only thing that fans can do that will make any sort of difference? Buy tickets and go to the games. I do not think that MLB wants to lose this market, but the fans (or lack there of) are giving them an easy out.

Show up, team stays and spends money. Don't show up, team leaves and doesn't spend money. This is not about attendance, its about getting a stadium and being able to grow the franchise. I'm sure that someone smarter than I am has already thought of this, but how about each person on this site who goes to a baseball game in 2006 pledges to take two new South Floridians who don't generally go to a baseball game. Let them pay for themselves, or pay for them (in exchange for free beers, of course!) but bring them along. They might have a terrible time and it might validate why they couldn't care less about the Marlins. But it just might expose them to something they like. Who knows? Everytime I go to see a game, I try to bring a n00b along. I've got a couple of friends "hooked" on the Marlins.
RockyMountainMarlin
Diaz and Bush are a bunch of idiots in office. They only show their face when there are hurricane and other emergencies and pretty much spend the rest of the year screwing everything up. Carlitos Alvarez has to be our solution. He's a cop, he doesn't beat around the bush. Hopefully he comes thru in the clutch. Do it for Billy and the kids!
