Redick is a stud. Where do you think he'll go in the draft?

Mid to late first round

Ya? I agree he won't get top 10, only because of the need for big men and all around players. To me, Redick is kinda like a better Kyle Korver--I know that's a bad comparison, but from what I've seen--Redick is a shooter with a decent all around game. I can see him going to a team like the Knicks or Celtics.

Whoa, whoa...Reddick is not a stud, one of the best shooters in college basketball, yes but there really isn't anything else in his arsenal, he'll be a second round choice and a good role player for a few teams.

He'll be picked in the Top 15. He's pretty good at all facets of the game and a very smart player. It's become almost impossible to stop him from finding enough room to get off a shot, and he can now make them falling any which way.

It's become apparent from the development in his game that he's worked very hard at his game, and I'm sure he will continue to do so. He's also in better shape than anyone else on the floor.

Redick will be a major offensive weapon in the NBA.

Lay off the crack pipe dude....Redick will be a role player. I seem to remember everyone touting Langdon and many other Duke players in the NBA and other then Brand and Laettner for a little...they've been busts.

This isn't about Trajan Langdon. We're talking about JJ Redick. I've watched him play a lot of games, and I just don't see any reason why he shouldn't be knocking down an assload of shots in the NBA. He will drive defenses nuts.

What flaws in his game are going to prevent from him being a good NBA player? It isn't his ballhandling, it isn't his shooting or his passing, and it isn't Trajan Langdon. Is he too slow? Too short? I don't think so.

NPOY.

Wow, that was such a fun game. Alot of 'experts' had Duke as the underdog in this one.

Now its time for me to enjoy a few adult beverages.

:hat

He has got some serious comp this year from that 70s porn star, Adam Morrison.

Amazing shot by Dirk Diggler to win the game for the Zags today.

The announcers for this game were either drunk or high. They stopped announcing for almost a full 30 seconds. One went "OH!!!", then the next guy went "OH!!!!"...they basically just went back and forth trading "OHHH!!!"'s. It was kind of surreal.

Also, there's no way Morrison meant to do that. I don't think either announcer brought up the fact that his shot was lucky as all hell.

They ended the telecast by proclaiming Morrison "the best basketball player in college basketball". You know, as opposed to college football. Anyway, I'm sure he's one of the best, but it's a sign that you're announcers are drunk when they flat out state that a guy is the best.

Is that like you being drunk saying Redick is going to be a major weapon in the NBA???? Just wondering.

Hill was one of the better players in the league before his string of injuries.

How does injury problems make a guy a bust? That's an ignorant comment.

I'm still waiting for you tell me why he won't be. I challenge all the peoples of MarlinsBaseball.com to put together a list of the deficiencies in JJ's game that will hinder his ability to hit assloads of shots in the NBA.

I maintain he's a good ballhandler, great shooter, good passer, and a hard worker, of average quickness and size and better-than-average smarts and Court IQ, and with a willingness to work very hard on his craft. What do you got for me?

Oh, and I'll add that so far this year, no one has been able to stop him from getting his shots off. He's really developed his ability to get off shots no matter what the hell the defense is doing to stop him. He can hit shots falling any which way. In short, I don't see how anyone can really stop him.

Very simple.....if your touted to be great and you fall short, it doesn't matter the circumstances.....Grant Hill was supposed to be great and could be considered to have a bust of a career....

I think you answered your own question. (although he has BELOW avg size and athleticism for an NBA 2)

While I think he will be a decent NBA player, the way you describe him is as a stud who is the 2nd coming of Michael Jordan. To say that you don't see how anyone can stop him is pretty ridiculous.

How many players can you name in the NBA, that are both below average size wise for their position and below average athletically and are considered "stars" or "dominant"? Off the top of my head, I can name a grand total of zero.

He is a great college player, no doubt, and I would take him on the Heat, but he is never going to be a star NBA player.

He is too short to play the 2 and too slow to defend the 1. He will be a defensive liability in the NBA and will be a shooting specialist.

Reddick cannot be a major offensive player if he can't even create his own shot, he can only get open on screens and picks. He is a role player who can shoot well and is average defensively.
