One could easily argue that Auburn should be in the Fiesta in their place, HOWEVAH, since Auburn is Auburn and Notre Dame is The University of Football in America, they get the handjob from the bowl committees. January 3, 200620 yr Notre Dame was lucky to have this final outcome look like it did. The combination of leaving 13 points on the board in the first half and Tressell Ball in the 2nd gave Notre Dame/the media a bit of hope. The Ohio State offense is going to be disgusting next year, if only they had come into their own a little bit earlier. Great season Bucks!
January 3, 200620 yr First of all i wanna tip my hat to Ohio State cause they have a sick squad. As an irish yes am disapointed that we didn't put on a better show but it also lets us know how far we are from being in the elite group and it isn't by much, Charlie Weis is doing a great job recruiting players i think they have the third best class overall and that's why they brought him in. I see us finishing top ten again next season and hopefully real contenders for the national championship in 2-3 years. Plain and simple Ohio State won this game because they have better players our CB's could not keep up with Ohio's WR's but they didn't let it turn into a rout like must people thought, i mean they give us that TD that was overturned and we score on the fumble and N.D. wins.....Anyway great game and hopefully these 2 face off next season again......Congrats Ohio State.....
January 3, 200620 yr Author notre dame couldnt capitalize on the turnovers. i mean 2 blocked fg's and 2 fumbles and couldnt do anything. also that 4th and 2 stop early on was big.
January 3, 200620 yr That game wasn't really as close as the score indicated. Notre Dame put a couple good drives together, but for the most part, they couldn't do anything. And they couldn't stop us. 600+ yards? God damn. We let them hang around much longer than we should have. No excuse for those special teams gaffes. None. Our offense is going to be really fun to watch next year.
