Baltimore = Greedy

According to the Boston Herald, the Orioles want Andy Marte along with Manny Ramirez and Matt Clement from the Red Sox for Miguel Tejada. Talks between the two teams appear to have stalled.

Baltimore rejected the offer of Manny, Clement AND cash for Tejada.

What the hell. :plain

If anything I think Boston would be giving too much in that original deal with Clement as well, since Manny's numbers are better than Tejada's. Baltimore's proposal above is just plain idiotic.

Boston will never do that deal. I doubt they give that much cash either unless they include Nick Markakis in the deal. The Red Sox value Marte, they are already giving up too much with Manny and Clement. To give up Marte is just absurd.

if the deal didn't include Markakis, the Orioles are idiots for not taking Manny and Clement/cash.

WTF is wrong with those people? I'd like to see what the guys at OriolesHangout think.

If Baltimore was smart they would have taken Manny/Clement, but to ask for Marte also is just complete bs. Adding Markakis wouldnt do much for me at all if Marte is in it because Marte is way better than Markakis and Clement and Manny is already overpaying. I have no problem keeping Manny and Clement, BALs loss.
