Woo! What about Brad Penny's performance today. This guy was throwin some heat. All his fastballs were 95,96 or 97! He only threw one fastball aat 93. He pitched great today. Now its the offense turn to help him.

Just 3 hits allowed (2 homers :( ), not sure how many walks. The curve was breaking nasty today, it was a Josh Beckett hook today and not a Brad Penny hook.

His velocity was extreamely impressive. I've never seen him throw that high that consistantly throughout a game. His curve was 12-6, as always.

Again, these are the outings that make you want to keep Brad Penny. And if he can give you these kinds of outings 60-whatever percent of the time, you gotta love him.

Brad has a bigger hook, but Josh usually throws his much more accurately.

He pitched an awesome game and had only those 2 mistakes....one was a hanging curve to Vlad which is basically an automatic homer.

:lol

that was one of the better games I've seen Penny throw. Only 3 hits & like Shamrock said, anything Vlad hits is a homer anyway. He was using his curveball well and had a blazing fastball today. Urbina & Looper didn't give up a hit either.

Loop touched 99 once and 100 one also. So they were both throwing heat. Brad penny does have a good curveball but i think they both are the same like Wilcard said one is more consistant than the other. I wana see Penny pitch like this again. I think he only allowed 1 walk...
