Yeah that was pretty funny, this is the only part of American Idol that I watch. She said that she walks around and people on the street are always looking at her, its because of the fact that she looks like a damn hooker.

They definetly overplayed it. After seeing about 50 teasers for it I was expecting a real fight during the audition. Paula said about 3 words to her and offered her a drink and that was what set this dumb girl off? :thumbdown

Yes, although I believe he was an air force reservist, not a Marine. But that guy was great.

For me, the blonde seemed like a nice girl, but she's an also-ran at best. She has a good chance to make the Final 12, though, cause she got profiled.

 

The Marine was pretty good. I want to see more of him, but I think there's some potential there. His schtick will wear thin after a short time, though, and then all he'll have is the voice.

 

I'm not sure what you mean by the Norah Jones comment. She didn't really sound like Norah Jones, so it probably wasn't that. If you're suggesting that she can win without appealing to a younger audience, I would say you're wrong. This isn't to say she won't have a successful career. She just won't win this contest.

 

The girl's name was Paris, just for the record.

She had an 'amazing' voice. She will make the top 12 easily, and probably the 5 or so.

Yeah, Katharine...she was really, really good. Cute, too. Good personality, right age. A definite contender.

 

I still think in terms of raw talent, the Paris audition was the best I've ever seen, and I know I'm not the only person who feels that way. The knock on her is she's really young...and she's also got that weird speaking voice.

 

These two girls are far above anyone else they've shown so far, and you can probably punch both their tickets to the Top 12.
