November 14, 200322 yr Wow I'm +38 in W-L ratio? I thought I was doing worse then that... What was my record last week?
November 18, 200322 yr Author I'm winning percentage champ once again! Except for the fact that SuperAngels is at .714. Thats one reason why I don't use winning percentage for the standings, it rewards people for playing less games.
November 18, 200322 yr AH! DAMN YOU SUPERANGELS! :thumbdown lol Maybe you can award three titles: +/- champion, overall wins champion, and winning percentage champion
November 19, 200322 yr AH! DAMN YOU SUPERANGELS! :thumbdown lol Maybe you can award three titles: +/- champion, overall wins champion, and winning percentage champion You won't jinx my winning percentage roll! I am the Champion! LOL
November 19, 200322 yr You should do Winning Percentage. But first they have pick a minimum of at least (Example coming up) 14 weeks out of the 17 to pick. That way you get a good idea of who is more accurate on their picks. WP% should count, just a minimum of games should be amounted/picked before they can claim that title. Much better system that way.
November 20, 200322 yr Author I might do multiple categories. Lets see, if we set the minimun after this past week at 134, it should work
November 23, 200322 yr winning pct really shouldn't be used. everyone who had to make picks for the first 4 weeks or so would get penalized. at week 1, nobody really knows which team is better than the other, so it'd pretty tough to get a 12-4 record or whatever. you have to admit, it's MUCH easier to make picks late in the season than early in the season when so many teams are unproven. before the season started, the bucs were super bowl favorites (now they probably won't even make it to the playoffs), the raiders looked like they should at least have a winning record, and the cowboys and panthers looked like they'd be the whipping boys yet again. the fact that we've got two people with .656 winning pct despite having to pick at the beginning of the season is pretty damn impressive. it should stop there.
November 25, 200322 yr Author Week 12 was a good one. Admin posted an outrageous 15-1 (obviously he must be cheating ) It stays tight at the top, but 83Gator has pulled a game ahead of Das. Remember boys and girls, we have Thanksgiving Day games this week. Don't forget to get your week 13 picks in.
December 2, 200322 yr Author After week 13, things are still tight for the top 2 spots. Das Texan and 83Gator flip-flopped after their performances this week. DaGreatOne posted the best record for this week @ 11-5.
December 9, 200322 yr Author With a good week 14 by 83Gator, and a bit of a slip by Das Texan, 83Gator has opened up a 5 game lead (of course that could easily change next week.) Overall, things were pretty mixed this week. Records ranged from 11-5 to 5-11. We are in the home stretch, only 3 more weeks remaining.

December 9, 200322 yr Haha same here Big Hugg. I'm lurking. And plus me not picking 2 weeks also hurt me in the standings.
December 16, 200322 yr Author Week 15 was a strong one for everyone. 83Gator still holds the lead ahead of Das Texan, but Big Hugg is trying to sneak in. Still two more weeks, and it may come down to the wire.
December 16, 200322 yr my winning % is great too bad i didnt notice the game until recently KJC 41 - 19 - 0 - .683 - (+22)
December 27, 200322 yr not that i personally care, but phlub was incorrectly credited with 1 extra win and 1 fewer loss for his tampa bay vs. atlanta prediction last week. he picked tampa bay and changed his pick to atlanta after seeing that atlanta was winning during the game (he admitted this much to me via PM). i saw the thread was unlocked, so early during the game, i saved everyone's picks in a word document to see if anyone would change their picks after atlanta started blowing out TB. sure enough, one person changed his pick from TB to atlanta sometime around halftime or the 3rd quarter. i'll send you the file if you'd like to see for yourself... i don't know the guy and have no reason to make this up. again, it doesn't really matter to me since i'm about 40 games behind him (LOL). however, there are a number of guys within a few games of him, so it might matter to them. i just thought i'd point out that his record should be corrected since i personally can't stand cheating. at the very least, his record should be corrected to 140-72.
December 30, 200322 yr Author The regular season game has come to an end. The winner is: 83Gator :cheers CONGRATULATIONS!! :notworthy
December 30, 200322 yr The regular season game has come to an end.? The winner is: 83Gator :cheers CONGRATULATIONS!!? :notworthy Nice work, 83Gator. You're lucky the NFL season isn't 432 weeks long or I woulda caught ya! not that i personally care, but phlub was incorrectly credited with 1 extra win and 1 fewer loss for his tampa bay vs. atlanta prediction last week. he picked tampa bay and changed his pick to atlanta after seeing that atlanta was winning during the game (he admitted this much to me via PM). i saw the thread was unlocked, so early during the game, i saved everyone's picks in a word document to see if anyone would change their picks after atlanta started blowing out TB. sure enough, one person changed his pick from TB to atlanta sometime around halftime or the 3rd quarter. i'll send you the file if you'd like to see for yourself... i don't know the guy and have no reason to make this up. again, it doesn't really matter to me since i'm about 40 games behind him (LOL). however, there are a number of guys within a few games of him, so it might matter to them. i just thought i'd point out that his record should be corrected since i personally can't stand cheating. at the very least, his record should be corrected to 140-72. Isn't that twice this year!? I think Phlub should have to forfeit all his wins for using ineligible picks. He should also be banned from tournament play for 3 years and lose 2 scholarships. :thumbup
December 30, 200322 yr The regular season game has come to an end.? The winner is: 83Gator :cheers CONGRATULATIONS!!? :notworthy Thank you. But I have a confession to make - all I did was pick the favorite in every single game. I put no thought into any of my picks and there was absolutely no skill involved. I wanted to see if any of us were good enough to be right about upsets more than we were wrong. My own "real" picks on Yahoo were not as good ... My Yahoo Picks Also, in case anybody is interested, picking the home team in every game would've given somebody a 157-99 record, which would've placed 5th in our standings. So, as far as I'm concerned, Das really won the football picking game. Also, just to give my opinion on a couple of big debates that have gone on here over the season: GiantsInNever and Phlub - grow up. Quit try to make up excuses to change the rules in the middle of the game. I noticed as soon as somebody passed you both in winning percentage, y'all dropped the campaign to change the rules. Phlub - quit cheating. You did it twice. Once in the first week of the season when you left out a game and tried to edit it in when the week was over. Once late in the season, when you switched your picks on Atlanta/Tampa. What were you trying to do? It's a game. If you need to win that damn badly, set up your own private Yahoo Football Pool group where you're the only member. Maybe you can win in that one. In fact, I bet you can go undefeated. Can you at least tell me what the point of trying to cheat was? Did you see what Das did in the last week? He got his picks in a little late. But instead of saying he "would've" picked the Pats like the rest of the world did, he left them off his pick sheet - that's the way to play the game. If you're going to join a friendly contest like this, either play fair or don't play at all. Thanks again and congratulations Das, both on picking the most winners on your own and for playing fair.
January 1, 200422 yr Hey 83Gator, here are some picks for you. The picks I made in the PreSeason. Almost Dead on to what they ended up as. heres my link, no edits nothing... http://www.marlinbaseball.com/forums/index...?showtopic=5320 I have been deliberating for a week over all of the NFL games and here is my predictions that may change 2 weeks before the season starts at the latest.... AFC East New England Patriots 11-5* Miami Dolphins 9-7 Buffalo Bills 7-9 New York Jets 7-9 AFC North Baltimore 10-6* Pittsburgh 8-8 Cinncinnati 7-9 Cleveland 5-11 AFC South Indianapolis 12-4* Tennessee 11-5* Jacksonville 6-10 Houston 6-10 AFC West Kansas City 11-5* Denver 10-6* Oakland 8-8 San Diego 4-12 *- denotes playoff team NFC East Philadelphia 12-4* New York Giants 9-7 Dallas Cowboys 7-9 Washington Redskins 5-11 NFC North Green Bay Packers 10-6* Minnesota Vikings 9-7* Chicago Bears 7-9 Detroit Lions 4-12 NFC South Tampa Bay Buccaneers 13-3* Carolina Panthers 10-6* Atlanta Falcons 9-7 New Orleans Saints 7-9 NFC West St. Louis 11-5* Seattle 9-7 San Francisco 8-8 Arizona 4-12 *- denotes playoff team Super Bowl Tampa Bay Buccaneers over New England Patriots So what do you all think of that? That was posted Jul 15 2003, 11:33 PM Lets see here... 12 Teams I picked exactly right. I picked 7 correct divisional winners. I was only 1 game off on 13 teams. I was only 2 games off on 2 teams. That was pre-season. Pretty damn good if I do say so myself. Except the part where I picked Minnesota to go to the playoffs and Tampa to win it all.

January 2, 200422 yr Hey 83Gator, here are some picks for you. The picks I made in the PreSeason. Almost Dead on to what they ended up as. heres my link, no edits nothing... Phlub - I don't care. I don't care anything you have to say about much of anything, including football picks. You're a Twins fan on a Marlins board, so your baseball opinions don't really interest me because you're incredibly partial. Your football picks don't interest me because you cheated here so I'm not even going to waste my time checking your links or reading your picks. There's only one thing about you that interests me - why'd you cheat here on your picks? And after being caught (twice) how come you keep coming back? Most people would be too ashamed.
