April 5, 200620 yr I heard yesterday in Minute Maid Park from Samson's own mouth that they were expecting 25K in opening day. (He was telling it to some other guy as part of the FLA bashing). And they should get it if they kids keep swinging the bats like they did tonight for the rest of the road trip.
April 5, 200620 yr Wow, I just realized that opening day is @ 4:05 on a Tuesday. What was MLB thinking? The Marlins can't even get people to come to games after work, why the hell are they going to leave work early just for opening day. This isn't New York. Followed by 2 day games? Man, its going to be a rough week. There is a reason why The Marlins cut ticket prices in 1/2 for weekday day games.

But I do agree that if they played it at say maybe 7pm there would be more fans
April 5, 200620 yr I have been checking ticketmaster and it says all the infield box seats are gone and the best seats I can get are in section 231. Also.. Section 103 - Row 24. Section 141- Row 24. Oh and Wednesday I can get tickets in Section 153- Row 6 :plain

April 5, 200620 yr This is really sad. We can still get seats in sections right above the dugouts. (Row 4/5)

April 5, 200620 yr I'll probably be there opening day, but I like the rest of South Florida won't go to the next two games because they're at 1:05. Are they trying to get lower attendance with these games? 1:05 games at DS feel kinda like being lit on fire.

I can't wait until we have our dome .
April 7, 200620 yr FWIW, I just went on Ticketmaster and found four seats in Section 142, Row 23 ($38). Here's something quirky, though: I searched for two and four seats in the Tank specifically, and both times it came back with seats in section 232 (Club C). Strange 1) that that section is opened and 2) that ticketmaster keeps sending me there. EDIT: This Fish Tank thing seems to be a recurring pattern - every San Diego game sends me straight to Club C. I don't want Club C dammit! Yeah, what's up with that? And it's not just the San Diego series either. :confused
April 7, 200620 yr What I'm going to do is try to head to Marlins en Miami tomorrow (I need to buy a hat anyways) and make the purchase then. Chances are the Tank for Opening Day is sold out since the Outfield Reserve is, but who knows. Actually this might save me like $50 across the course of the season in not having to pay ticketmaster fees :lol I'll let you know how it goes. I think it could also be solved by calling 1-877-MARLINS.
