Do or die time...

If people don't show up for the weekend series against the Braves, I don't think they ever will. There really aren't any excuses left.

25,000-30,000 on Friday and Saturday nights...anything less would be alarming.

Sunday's game is one of those sunburn specials and it's up against a Dolphins game, so all bets are off on that one.

I'd be there Friday and Saturday if I weren't stuck in Durham.

30K tickets have already been sold for friday and 40k for saturday.

I think the fans have come out.....

the numbers speak for it.

40,000? is that for real? i bet most of them will be doing the chop but still.

Are you serious? I'm planning to go both Friday and Saturday.

AWESOMENESS

Good news that there actually will be someone there this weekend. Hopefully they can break the "attendance jinx" and not continue to suck at home when there is a big crowd!

But then again....

Too bad it'll go back down to 10K on the weekday games. This town deserves a baseball team like I deserve a Pulitzer for this post.

1truefan,

are you sure? When are the numbers from? The last time you said 30k, there were 20k. Are these tickets sold or reserved (will call)?

i hope itz not mostly atlanta fans on saturday :killthemall , but damn 40k! i shall be there with a sign making lots of noise. the whole family is going. LETS GO MARLINS!

it won't be mostly braves fans, maybe a 1/4, which considering before the Marlins Miami was braves territory is not bad at all.

The whole South was Braves' territory.

My parents are going to Naples this weekend so I can't go Friday.

Saturday will be cool, cuz I'll go then, and Sunday.

Saturday is gonna be the attendance of the year.

Saturday night

Playoff race

Atlanta

Dontrelle

Bobble head

Good weather

Maybe 40,000

my little sister is going on Saturday with friends and the mother of this one girl. i have invited that little girl to games when i had a spare ticket and she always said she would never go to a game. now a friend invites her and she jumps on it, she doesnt even like baseball or know the first thing about the game. they're going to try to hook me up with a ticket but i still cant believe she's going because her friends are going. i think she's even going to paint her face like friends, im not sure. she didnt even know the Marlin colors are

i tried taking my little cousin (girl) to a baseball game. and tried to teach her to read a boxscore. but first i think we have to nail down the concept that they play with a "baseball" not a "puck" as she calls it

i have to teach my sister the concept that a hitter hits the ball, not "throws" it like she says.

little girls :confused

I've taught my lil sis to like baseball :D

The sudden rise in attendance is because of Atlanta and D-Train it'll be back to 10k crowds after the series is over...

even when we play philly DT?

There might also be 20k crowds against the mets... theres always seems to me alot there

Well when the Mets are playing at PPS it seems like New York cause almost half of the crowd is wearing a Mets' cap.

im thinking(more like hoping) attendance is real good up until the playoffs...

That'll be tough on Sunday with the Dolphins playing the Jets at 1:00 on TV.

The Dolphins have lost favor this week, alot of people are bitter. they will go to the Marlins game, but listen to WQAM on their radios.
