Panthers Push for the Playoffs

Featured Replies

Things are about to get interesting. The panthers (32-30-9) face off against the penguins (18-41-12) tonight at 7:30. They are currently 8 points out of the 6th (TB) 7th (NJ) and 8th spot (MTL) all with 81 points and if they win tonight they jump over toronto into 10th spot, trailing idle Atlanta with 76 points.

Key Games:

Boston @ Buffalo (Bruins 4 back of panthers with 69 points)

Rangers @ Islanders (Islanders 2 back of panthers with 71 points)

Big game tonight, we've been playing great, no time for a letdown. GO PANTHERS.

Here we go! Been playing great, we ain't gonna look back now. Come on, Cats!

Tonights win will mark the first time in years it'll be a definite that we finish above 80 points. That feels really good to say that.

lets not get too overzealous. we have to play tonight before we can play the next game and so on...

defintely very exciting to be a panther fan though.

Rangers up 3-0 over the isles thru 1!

New York (both) suck!

The Rangers are third in the Eastern Conference, have the league leader in goals playing for them and are the leader in their respective division, the Eastern Atlantic.

But they suck, right? Also, we need the Rangers to win. It helps the Cats' chances.

Looks like someone doesn't know what they're talking about! :whistle

He did not say they both suck as teams. They just both suck because they are the Rangers and the Islanders. :thumbup

The only hockey teams I really hate are the Ducks, Kings and Red Wings.

4-1 Cats....Pens score on the power play I believe

2 down, 4-1 Cats

Great period for the Panthers. We can wrap this one up if we can keep Ovechkin out of the offensive zone.

Since when is Ovechkin on the Penguins?

7 in a row! On this night Luongo ties the franchise record for wins by a goaltender (106) and wins in a row (7)! Both tying the Beezer and the 96 team!
