With this team as young as it is, and with Girardi as young as he is I think these next few weeks are crucial. Today's game was a straight up kick in the nutts to the players, Girardi, and all of the fans. I think now is where Girardi will have to establish himself to the players, the fans, and ultimately the entire league. Winners are defined by how they handle adversity. And now it will be interesting to see how this team handles this. Certain players are going to react differently to different styles of criticism. I think in the next few weeks we are going to get a much better idea as to what kind of manager Girardi is. I'm hoping for the best.

Its expected that even Joe Torre or Bobby Cox couldn't get less than 100 losses with this team, so I don't think anyone will really pay attention to him until year 2 -- that is if he stays. I think that if Joe Torre hangs them up after say next year -- we can give Jo - Jo some nice parting gifts and say thanks.

Yanks won't hire him unless he does much better than expected here.

Wins and losses don't really matter, it's if the guys still play hard for him after a rough stretch.

Wins and losses dont mean anything with a 14 million dollar payroll team. However, Girardi has lost 5 - 1 run games. It's not all his fault but his abilities so far have not impressed me at all.

There is no crucial time in a rebuilding year.
