Last weekend, Saban said Culpepper received an ''A-plus'' review from Dr. James Andrews after a checkup on his surgically repaired right knee. Saban and others in the organization have expressed an increasingly stronger sense of confidence that Culpepper will be able to start in the season opener Sept. 7 in Pittsburgh. But while there is room for optimism, knee injuries often have setbacks, according to two surgeons who have done the procedure in the past. Thus, the Dolphins might not have a complete sense of when Culpepper, who tore three ligaments, will be ready to play until after the start of training camp July 28. Awesome hopefully he will play against Pittsburgh. http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/sports/14568316.htm
May 14, 200620 yr With the Harrington deal done, I don't really care to rush Culpepper back. If it takes and extra game or two, so be it.
May 14, 200620 yr if culpepper plays week 1 i will put money down he won't be playing week 2, or week 3, or week 4.... the steelers know how to blitz and well the fins have yet to prove they can block for a stationary qb let alone one who moves around and they aren't used to moving the pocket.

I would be careful in week one with QB selection, remember what happened to Palmer? he had a previous injury prior to the game and he went out after Kimo accidently tore his ACL. btw im not trying to say "start Harrington so the Steelers can have a better chance"
May 14, 200620 yr I say we see how he does in training and see if he can move well. Then easily *(very slow and easy) play him in the pre-season but he shouldnt get a whole lot of play time, give harrington a good amount because well...this is a serious injury and whats the rush?? I have some faith in Harrington anyway.

We gave up less sacks than the Seahawks last year. Sure, Gus Frerotte was super athletic and could make something outta nothing, but I have confidence in our OL.

Yeah I love how people make claims about the Phins when they had one of the top 5 OL's in the league last year. I am not worried. Bring on the Steelers.
May 16, 200620 yr Dolphins | Culpepper looks super Tue, 16 May 2006 11:18:44 -0700 According to John Czarnecki of FOXSports.com, Miami Dolphins QB Daunte Culpepper (knee) appears to be ahead on his rehabilitation and could be ready for the start of training camp. He may not be ready for a full workload, but he should be ready to participate in most drills. Word from Miami is that he looks "super."
