June 7, 200620 yr Had his Single-A game tonight. Limited to a 60 pitch limit. His line: 3 IP 3 H 1 ER 0 BB 6 SO 1 HR When he exited, he tipped his hat to the umpires, went and shook the hand of the kid who hit the home run off of him, and tipped his hat to the sell out crowd. That handshake to the kid who hit the HR was a great baseball moment. His next start will be in AA.
June 7, 200620 yr He also bought $7,000 worth of leather couches and a 42 inch flat screen for the clubhouse. The clubhouse used to only have a few old old couches and 24 inch tv.
June 12, 200620 yr Author Had his second rehab start, for the AA Corpus Christi Hooks: 6 IP 2 H 0 ER 0 BB 11 SO 73 pitches. Simply dominant, if he wasn't scheduled for the AAA start this Friday there is no doubt he could join the Astros now.
June 12, 200620 yr Clemens will make his final Minor League tune-up start Friday at Round Rock against the Triple-A New Orleans Zephyrs, with his first Astros start scheduled for June 22 against the Twins. MLB.com
June 12, 200620 yr There's a big difference between AA and the majors, but I agree that he will be effective, at least for the rest of this season. Drennen is a good prospect, there's a reason he hit a HR off of Clemens.

Mariners farm system has not been good to us. I kinda miss the Dodger days... Even the guy who was supposed to start (Talbot?) and came on in relief made most of the Missions batters look silly. But still an impressive showing.
