Britney Spears Forces Mel Gibson To Sell House

Featured Replies

Actor Mel Gibson is selling his Malibu mansion because he is sick of the commotion caused by his neighbour Britney Spears.

According to hollywood.com, Gibson lives next to Spears and has put up his $18 million mansion for sale. Spears has been visited by police a few times and has fans and paparazzi following her everywhere.

A source says: 'People are always hanging around outside the gates and he is worried his kids might get hurt.'

Gibson is moving to a new home in Santa Monica with his wife and children.

I am not a fan of Britney; but... the amount of scrutiny she and others (Hilton, Lohan, etc.) get is excessive to the point of absurdity. They have virtually no privacy. If I was in their shoes, I don't know how I could handle it; it's insane (literally and figuratively).

She certainly didn't mind when she used that same press in her teenage years to become a huge star.

Can't have it both ways.

That definitely sucks for Mel. I'd move into his old crib if he wanted just to make sure the place stayed alright. He doesn't have to sell it.

She couldn't possibly understand what she was getting herself into at 12; or even at 15. If anyone, blame her parents for putting her up to it.

I'm willing to bet she'd trade her stardom for a little normalcy right about now.

I just can't agree with that.

Seems hypocritical when she used the publicity early and during her career to make millions of dollars and now wants nothing to do with it.

It's not a water faucet. It can't be turned on or off at her leisure.
