June 18, 200620 yr Blue Jays pitcher A.J. Burnett allowed just one run on two hits and struck out nine batters over six innings yesterday while facing the Portland Sea Dogs in a Double-A level rehabilitation assignment. It was Burnett's final outing before his scheduled return to the Jays Thursday in Atlanta. Pitching for Toronto's New Hampshire Fisher Cats affiliate, Burnett allowed only a second-inning homer by Portland first baseman Jeremy West. He walked three batters in the 87-pitch effort as he recovers from right elbow problems. http://www.thestar.com/NASApp/cs/ContentSe...ol=970081600908
