ESPN will pick up Game 2

Featured Replies

Boog it is.

I have Dish Network .. what channel is it on? The White Sox game is on ESPN.

They already started showing the pregame to Marlins-Yanks on ESPN here.

Methinks you won't be getting it tonight.

on what channel?

The BP is showing the game, I think.

LMAO

:blol:

i spoke to a rep. they said its ESPN's fault and that there is nothing they can do

DirecTV transferred me to a line that never answered then when I called back I spoke to someone who said that I should be getting the Marlins game and that it's some kind of "glitch". She transferred me to tech support and I've been on hold for what seems an eternity. :mad

I'm curious as to whether this is a problem in the NY area, too.

If it's ESPN's fault, as they say, I would expect DTV/Dish subscribers in NY to be stuck with chisox/astros, too.

ESPN put it as an Alternate feed and forgot to tell Dish/DirecTV. NY gets nothing as well as it is not uplinked on ESPN Alternate.

Can they do anything about it>?

the dummy at DirecTV told me ESPN is not showing the Marlins-Yankees game tonight :banghead

The dummy I'm talking to says he can't call ESPN to find out what's going on because he "doesn't have their number." I just asked for a supervisor and am, naturally, on hold.

The supervisor just told me that I would need to call ESPN to find out why we are not getting the game because "it is not DirecTV's responsibility to call them." You would think they would do that on behalf of their customers but...so much for customer service!

ESPN just told me that the DirecTV tech needs to call them. I told them what DirecTV told me and they said the DirecTV technicians should know better. Good grief!

geez, with e-mail, faxes and instant communications these days the 2 big satellite providers couldn't even arrange for this game to be properly shown

thanks dude

I guess all our calls got someone's attention, because that channel had nothing on it 20 minutes ago and now the game is on

game is now on Directv channel 210

thanks Felo for the heads up

Better late than never! DirecTV really needs to get their act together - their customer service has royally sucked lately and it used to be great.
