ESPN will pick up Game 2

Featured Replies

tv wise it is two of the biggest markets.

with Florida and NY they should own those two markets tonight vs everything else.

They just did a promo for Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN during the Portugal-Netherlands match, they said Marlins-Yankees on "the east coast" and Astros-White Sox elsewhere. Don't know how accurate that is, but take it for whatever its worth.

No NJ? Maybe YES might have it :confused

Depends where you are in Jersey. Are you technically in the NY market or the Philly market? I'm 99% sure we'll get it in North Jersey (since we're technically in the NY market), but I'm not so sure about those who tend to get the Philly programming.

I wonder who calls the game tonight? Maybe Boog? Or are they going to pickup the Yankees guys?

Boog would be nice!

I don't think it will be the YES guys - they said it would be on ESPN, but they didn't say that it would be them. I imagine that contracts would prohibit appearances on other networks. Still, it would have been interesting, because Al Leiter was in the booth today.

ESPN has 2 options:

1) stadium feed with broadcasters in the studio

2) send a couple of guys out to the Stadium...

considering Bristol is about 2 hours and change from Yankee Stadium, I'd bank on #2 but we will see.

ESPN agreed to carry Sunday night's makeup game in the New York and Miami markets. Originally, it was to be blacked out because of ESPN's national broadcast of the game between the Houston Astros and Chicago White Sox.
