July 1, 200620 yr The majority of the Red Sox fans were pretty cool IMO. Made the game even more fun. So Admin, does that mean you'd prefer Red Sox fans over Cubs fans? Without pretending to speak for Admin, it's hard to believe anyone wouldn't prefer Red Sox fans over Cubs fans. I definitely prefer Red Sox fans.
July 1, 200620 yr Yeah, I didn't realize you right your sentences as cryptoquotes now when the logical word structure was: pathetic-little-chants. :lol Whatever, you have some serious issues when it comes with the Red Sox, it has been this way since I came here. Maybe I just expect a little more from someone whose age should mean wisdom and maturity but when after a win you make pithy comments about a team and act like a 7-year old who got a few extra pieces of candy then your best friend at Halloween, then I take exception. There you go again...same old same old...only Superman has all the answers. And btw the word is "write" not "right".
July 1, 200620 yr *sings why can't we be friends song* Great game today...tomorrow is probably going to be a shootout. I shudder to think about Moe facing that Red Sox lineup. Just give me one of the next two and I'm a happy man. And damn it looked good to see 30,000+ in the stadium. Even if a lot of them are Red Sox fans. Just nice to see more than 6k in the stadium.
July 1, 200620 yr still scared. This was a resting day team. they sent out Gabe in right and had Youkilis bat 3rd and it was Jason Johnson out there. heck, I am ok with just taking 1 of 3 from boston, ESPN might explode if we beat them in the series though :lol Trot Nixon and Ortiz both started the game on the bench because they're lefties, not because it was a "resting day team." We'll have to face them both tomorrow and Sunday. The back end of the Sox rotation is a mess and they threw in Johnson from Cleveland's DFA garbage pile. It looks like he picked up where he left off. Not true. Trot may or may not have started today because of the lefty, but he has had a stomach ailment all week. 'Tiz doesn't sit for lefthanders and he just needed a day off. By the back end of the rotation being a mess you must mean only Johnson, if you mean that then you are correct but the other part has a 3.86 and 2.95 ERA respectively. Ortiz and Nixon may not sit regularly for lefties, but Willis isn't your everyday lefty. Ortiz had two days rest last week and he DH's all the time anyway. Not exactly a taxing job. I also wouldn't be surprised if Ortiz was on the bench to try to break the consecutive errorless games record. He's no Derrek Lee over at first. Leister's pitched four games and has gone six innings twice, five once and less in his first game. He's walked a ton of people each game and is no more reliable than any of our starters. Even Beckett has been shaky getting to 10 wins, probably forgetting that he's not in Florida anymore. The number of HR's he's given up would make Eric Milton proud. Great to see the high attendance figure.

July 1, 200620 yr This should bring some optimism. Moehler is 4-1 with a 3.43 ERA in seven career starts against the Red Sox.

Boston got into Miami at 4 am Friday morning after an intense emotionally and physically series against the Mets, it made sense to give him a day off considering that and to give Jason Johnson a look at what his regular defense will be. BTW, Ortiz has had 3 days off the last 26 games. Beckett has been damn good sans 4 starts (out of 16 starts) and if you think he is a reason our rotation is in 'shambles' you are ignorant.
