FLORIDA AT NY METS -- LINEUPS (1ST GAME)

FLORIDA NY METS

Alfredo Amezaga CF .256 2 10 Jose Valentin 2B .276 8 29

I'd prefer something like...

Hermida

Uggla

Cabrera

Jacobs

Willingham

Olivo

Ramirez

Amezega

against RHP. Hermida's on base skills arnt being used very well so far down in the lineup. also, Hanley has hit pretty poorly against RHP (620ops?)

it worked last night lets roll with it again...i like Amezaga in the leadoff spot and he proved it last night in the first how much trouble he can cause

love having confidence in the 6-7-8 hitters to drive in runs... love this lineup, again.

what of the 1-2 hitters that don't get on base very well in front of uggla, cabrera, jake?

My ultimate lineup would be -

1. Ramirez

2. Hermida

3. Jacobs

4. Cabs

5. Uggla

6. Willy

7. CF

8. Olivo

I like having power in the 8 spot before the pitcher, you dont need a guy to get on base, you need a guy who can possibly knock one out. This lineup is so close to being complete and perfect, we just need a centerfielder who can play plus defense and give a solid at bat.

well they are both contact hitters, with speed, and not a lot of power... kind of prototypical leadoff kind of players... their OBPs are not what you'd like out of those spots, but if Amezaga plays, I think first is where to hit him

but then again, in a late inning situation where Marlins need a rally and they have, for example, 8-9-1 coming up, I'd prefer Hanley were hitting first than AA.

Wow, Pelfrey has been dominant in Double-A. Hopefully the big leaguers can rough him up a little bit.

my lineup:

SS Hanley

RF Hermida

3B Cabs

2B Uggla

1B Jake

LF Hammer

C Olivo

CF Ross
