July 17, 200620 yr He seems to have himself quite a few minor league accolades but hasn't made it to the "Bigs" yet. What's everyones take on him, and what kind of future do you think he has on this team?
July 17, 200620 yr needs better strikezone judgement, and needs to STAY HEALTHY Can he hit lefties? I'm not sure on his splits. Just thinking, maybe he could replace Helms spot on the club next year and he start fulfilling his destiny of being a marginal power bench bat.
July 17, 200620 yr Yeah, maybe next year, I doubt he gets called up anytime this year unless maybe because of an injury to Jacobs or Helms.

July 17, 200620 yr Stokes needs to stay healthy for an extended period of time...he is always hurt...the last time was the back...before that was the wrist...if he could get on track he could be menacing in the line up...
July 18, 200620 yr Back from Injury (yes, again) he's been raking. 2-4 with two HR last night (which he also did 5 days ago). He is NOT a marginal Bench Power Bat, (unless you were talking about Helms) this guy is a league leading power hitter with no ability to stay healthy. July 18, 200620 yr I've always been high on Stokes, but now it seems that he unquestionably has more value to us than he could return in a trade in the near future. If he stays healthy it could be quite a dynamic duo of him and Jacobs unless one decides to learn how to hit pitching of the same handedness.
July 19, 200620 yr I was very surprised at the Split Stats on Stokes. Just to note, his last 4 HR which are over his last 7 games were all against Righties. Where did you get his split stats? They aren't on MILB.com nor Albequerquebaseball.com. thanks in advance!

I was also high on him and cant wait to see what hes capable while staying healty I hope he gets back on track n learns what he has to
July 21, 200620 yr His BA has risen recently and he holds a spot on the 40 man roster it wouldn't hurt to look at him in Sept.
