Is it just me or is the team chemistry as perfect as it could be? Do you think that maybe the Front Office is reluctant to make a trade because of this team chemistry? Maybe a trade could possibly hurt the team rather than improve it?

 

Im not including adding another pen guy because I dont think they do much in the chemistry but another OFer to sit someone like Amezaga or Willy or Ross I think could possibly hurt the team.

If Borowski isnt moved, the reason isnt because they cant find a taker for him.

they shouldnt move him because we are in contention. What im saying is adding another relief pitcher wont hurt the team chemistry but adding an OFer to come in might.

Seeing as how Mike Stanton brought in Shairon Martis (pretty damn good prospect), Dessens brought in Pimentel and Johnson(two good prospects)

 

I really wish Bienfest would trade Borowski

 

1) He won't be back next season

2) If we don't trade him, we won't get any compensation for him (if you believe other wise see Tood Jones)

3) This is currently a extreme sellers(like no other I have seen before)

4) In jose Garcia, Jason Vargas, Chris Resop I trust

After watching last night's pregame segment, I'm confident our team chemistry is great

As pointed out by Shamrock, it might harm the development of our young players. Players will be asked to press harder. Starters will be asked to pitch deeper into games. Relievers used often. Our starting eight rarely getting a day off. Some players with potential for our future may be traded or benched. All will be necessary to make the playoffs. And could bite us in the butt if they get injured or exhausted (physically as well as mentally) or adjust their training regimes.

The team chemistry is pretty good. They all seem to be having fun.

 

 

But perfect?

 

No way.

 

 

When a young pitcher gets on the best player on the team for questional effort on a ground ball and then the best player on the team pokes the young pitcher in the head, thats not perfect chemistry.

I don't think adding a quality player will hurt the team's chemistry. Borowski needs to be gone. Everyone talks about him possibly being a role model for the younger guys because of his veteran status. But we do have coaches for that, that have played in the majors (see girardi, joe). We also have Herges, who may not be the best pitcher we've ever seen, but he is still a veteran. And we also have Moehler too.

I'm a little scare if we give up Bowoski. What if our bullpen start all over again like in April. Martinez is out and Kensing is not pitching good at all. The oly guy we can rely on is Tank and hope Messenger doesn't pitch bad. Do we have enough back up pitcher for this trade to not hurt our bullpen?
