Once he's DFAd he can't be brought back. They have nothing to lose by doing it on Tuesday.

July 30, 200620 yr i like resop a lot and i think that he can help us. justy send pinto down and put moehler in long relif but man was sanchez horrifying today and bloated his era but im sure he'll bounce back With Moehler starting tonight, the plan would be to have somebody up for long relief if he falters or throws too many pitches early.

July 30, 200620 yr If Resop pitches the 9th I am guessing it will be him. Right you were. Sending Herges down would be a horrible move as he has been one of our most improved bullpen arms for months. And as someone else said, he won't be DFA'd with a day left before the deadline. My concerns lie with Kensing who has given up 10 runs and 13 hits in his last 12 IP. His ERA continues to climb. Almost at 5.00 now.
