There has been a Jeff Allison sighting.

 

The Marlins pitching prospect, who has been on suspension since spring training, was recently cited for driving 70 mph in a 55-mph zone on Interstate 85 in Greensboro, N.C. Allison, 21, was also cited for failure to carry his driver's license.

 

Allison has a Sept. 19 hearing date in Guilford County Court. He listed a Greensboro address on the incident report.

 

Allison spent the 2005 season pitching for the Class A Greensboro Grasshoppers, going 5-4 with a 4.18 ERA in 17 starts. The 16th overall pick in the 2003 draft, Allison missed the 2004 season while battling problems with substance abuse.

I agree, but I wonder how that is doing with him.

I'm rooting for him too but come on, with his history and all the other stuff he has to worry about, is it really that hard to avoid calling more attention to yourself by carrying your drivers license and staying within the speed limit?

The speeding ticket is meaningless. If he had had his license, there would be no story. Probably just forgot his wallet.
