Floridamarlins.com WASHINGTON -- With all the speculation floating around manager Joe Girardi and owner Jeffery Loria, the Marlins did make a roster-related move on Tuesday. Girardi told reporters before the game with Washington that the team would move reliever Logan Kensing to the disabled list with a right wrist flexor strain on Wednesday. Kensing suffered the injury in the seventh inning of Sunday's 7-3 loss to Los Angeles. Kensing threw five pitches to Julio Lugo and then exited the game in favor of Taylor Tankersley. An MRI on Monday revealed the injury. The right-hander has appeared in 37 games for the Marlins on the year and owns a 1-3 record with a 4.54 ERA. Kensing has earned both his first Major League save and win this season. Girardi said that he had an idea about who the team would call up to replace Kensing but declined to name any names. "I think," the Marlins skipper said. "But you always have to wait."

Kensing ? 1-3 with one save and a 4.54 ERA in 37 relief appearances ? left Sunday's game against the Dodgers after five pitches and had an MRI exam Monday that showed a strained right wrist flexor. Mitre went on the disabled list with right shoulder inflammation in May, a day after leaving a start after only three pitches. He recently had been on a rehab assignment. He'll be used out of the bullpen, in short stints initially, manager Joe Girardi said. "You have to be a little bit careful, because he's coming back from an arm injury ? how much you use him, how many days in a row, until he builds up a little bit,'' Girardi said.
