August 10, 200619 yr If some of ya'll are looking to purchase home,you should check out Myrtle Beach,South Carolina. The place is nice,and it is also fairly cheap (compared to houses in Miami and California). This place,to me looks like a mix of South Florida and Southern California. I know there's alot of you guys/gals planning to find your own home,but may think that houses down here in Florida are too expensive.So i thought i'd help ya out a bit. The Braves Class A Team plays in Myrtle beach,they're the Myrtle Beach Pelicans Some attractions at Myrtle Beach are: Ripley's Aquarium Ripley's Believe It or Not Myrtle Waves (water park) Restaurants: They have many Restaurants but,there's mostly Seafood and Italian Restaurants.

August 10, 200619 yr My dad bought a house up in Greensboro, North Carolina. HUGE house and it was really really cheap too. Don't know the price off the top of my head but he also saved alot with Geico Auto Insurance LMAO I love Florida to death and would never want to leave at ALL, but I know it will continue to get more expensive to live here.
August 10, 200619 yr Your reason for not calling Myrtle Beach boring doesn't work on me. Single-A baseball, a Ripley's museum (those are so corny... and you can only go once), and an aquarium sounds boring still.

August 10, 200619 yr I'm planning on leaving South Florida within the next few years. And attractions mean nothing to me. I've lived down here all my life and I still don't really do anything. I'm married with a one year old little boy. All I need is a park to take the little guy when he gets a bit older, some restaurants, a movie theater, and maybe a bowling alley or something.. Gimme that, and I'm happy.. The cost of living down here is getting ridiculous.
August 10, 200619 yr I used to live in Myrtle Beach. Once you do everything once, you're burnt out. And in the winter, it's a ghost town. Awesome in the summer but the worst place to live in the winter. Especially when it rains for a month straight non-stop. Isn't Myrtle Beach the Mini-Putt capital of the Universe? Yep. Most putt-putt courses you'll see within a 5 mile stretch.
