August 12, 200620 yr Beacon Journal - Don't be surprised if Guillermo Mota is released in the next day or two. General Manager Mark Shapiro has tried to move Mota, but no team has been willing to take him. A sign of the Tribe's disinterest in him: Mota hasn't pitched since July 24. Mota is clearly not in the team's long-term plans idk guys maybe we should give him a shot even though he is making 3 million which he definitly wont be making next year. also when franklyn german gets off the dl we need to give him a fair shot mota was a good reliver for us last year it will give us a chance in the race if we get him We are Marlins fans not dodgers fans and this is 2006, not 2005. a streak could put us back in the race since german and kensing are injured we could use some help mohler and mitre arent 7 inning guys and there not used to relieving cuz theyre starters so we need some help in the pin
August 12, 200620 yr Mota was one of the reasons why we were so pathetic down the stretch last year after we essentially quit. He can rot in hell. Basically. Why does every former Marlin need to be considered for return? Why does every player that is DFA'd/not good enough for any other team need to be considered by Marlins' fans? I've asked this several times myself. :notworthy we dont need theese DFA'd players that arent good enough for a NON contending team
August 12, 200620 yr Why does every former Marlin need to be considered for return? Cause most of the time our front office makes efforts to bring them back to boost ticket sales, most of the time, it does happen!

If I gathered that right, all of it is BS.
August 12, 200620 yr I think he has knocked a few pitching brain cells loose with him banging his head one time too many, bring him back? I would hope Admin is still thinking ahead and not behind, we are building a top caliber club again we don't need old overpaid hasbeens. Just my opinion, but look at us now we have great rookies who will be big stars very soon.
