David Wells Traded To Padres

Featured Replies

I like Boomer but what I dont get for the Padres is why they traded one of their top level prospects for a 1 month rental of a guy who very well could retire after that 1 month. Cash + PTBNL would have made more sense but Boston raped San Diego.

I love cocky Marlins' fans.

Come on now. Marlin fans have a reason to be cocky. Not much that a Red Sox fan can say to hurt a Marlin fan, considering we have twice as many World Series championships in anybody on this board's lifetime. :thumbup

I understand the move by the Padres. It's a win now type move. Great pickup and I'm sure plenty of other teams are pissed they missed out on this one. I'm not familiar with the player the Sox got back in return but I'm sure it was the best offer they got considering the amount of teams looking for Boomers services.

Oh btw. This isn't just a Marlin's forum guys, that's why this thread is in a forum called "Major League Baseball"
