Paying for parking?

Featured Replies

we always arrive about a half hour late, so as not to pay for parking.

sorry if it feeds into a "stereotype," but we're already paying for four season tickets, i'd rather not pay an extra ten every time. especially to Huizenga :)

If you have season tickets, then you can buy parking vouchers which are only 6 or 7 dollars per game. And honestly, is saving an extra 6 or 7 bucks worth missing the National Anthem and an early first inning rally by the Marlins where they put up a couple runs? Come on now - this isn't $25 parking like at American Airlines Arena, it's $10 bucks and even less for season ticket holders.

I feel sorry (well actually, no I don't) the people I see walking down the aisles to get to their seats in the first inning a few minutes after Hanley hits a leadoff HR or something. It's just a waste of money to buy tickets to a game and miss the first inning and the national anthem.

Look, I've been to Dodger and Yankee stadium, and traffic is 100000000000000000000000000000000000X worse at both venues, yet they put us to shame in punctuality, never mind attendance.

I left for a 1:00 game in LA at 10:30 from "an hour away" and still missed the national anthem.

very true.. i have yet to get in bad bad traffic coming to DS from up north on university...

ive been in worse traffic going to lackawanna county stadium for the triple a Red BaronsThat's because you cats are coming from the north.

From Miami, I could put off leaving until the very last minute possible and I'll still have to sit in 45 minutes of stop-and-go traffic.

In some ways, it was an easier commute when I lived in Palm Beach County.

Timing is every thing driving in from PBC. If I can close up work early, shower and be on the road by about 4:50 it's a little over an hour to get there. 5:00 or later and add 15-20 minutes to the drive. Of course those are under optimum driving conditions. But I'm lucky because I own my biz and most times can shut down early. Most people can't.

I still fail to see why everyone complains about traffic. We live in a heavily populated area with few options for routes. What does everyone expect?? Traffic to just part because we want it to? It's something we all have to deal with and work around in our own ways. Kinda like my remark when I hear someone complain about the heat down here. "We live in a tropical climate and it is the middle of the summer. Who would have guessed it would be hot and humid."

i'd rather not pay more to park than to watch the game, just sayin

Especially when you can see the supply far exceed the demand. One of the nice things about being one of the few down here is that we are normally able to park within 100-200 yards of the stadium. I'm usually about 200 feet away. And there are so many empty spaces..

.

.That's how it is when you have Huizenga owning the parking and Loria the team. When Loria controls both, as he or any owner should, they will have an incentive to lower parking prices or incude it as part of a promotional package. One that would have to be pre-sold too, as you'd need the parking pass. This benefits the team as well as the fan.

I know youre captain america, but whats the big deal about missing the national anthem?

but yeah it does suck when you walk in after the first and miss a bunch of runs

It's a respect thing. Are you one of those that I am always harping on for not standing and/or removing their cap??? They make me want to buy them a bus ticket to Europe. Contrary to popular belief, Greyhounds don't swim.
