September 9, 200619 yr i've went to 3 games this year, haven't paid for parking once. but last night when i went, it looked like there was a woman standing at the gate taking parking money, but when i pulled up she just said go ahead... and i've heard you have to pay. i'm confused.
September 9, 200619 yr Author i should probably mention ive showed up to every game 10-20 minutes late... maybe that has something to do with it?

September 10, 200619 yr i say we all show up 20 - 30 mins late And further feed into the South Florida sports fan stereotype.
September 10, 200619 yr First Post here on MarlinsBaseball Usually I don't pay for parking when I go to games. The best way to do is this to to enter at the Gate near the Turnpike enterance but it involves an akward U-turn.
September 10, 200619 yr I've been there 10 minutes late and all the parking attendants were still there. 20 minutes maybe.
September 10, 200619 yr i say we all show up 20 - 30 mins late And further feed into the South Florida sports fan stereotype. Please expound on that comment. How does showing up 15 minutes late to avoid a $10 parking fee further feed the Florida sports fan stereotype?
September 10, 200619 yr i say we all show up 20 - 30 mins late And further feed into the South Florida sports fan stereotype. The South Fla fan stereotype is that we don't go to games.

How does showing up 15 minutes late to avoid a $10 parking fee further feed the Florida sports fan stereotype? Apathetic and late arriving with less of an excuse as other teams. Look, I've been to Dodger and Yankee stadium, and traffic is 100000000000000000000000000000000000X worse at both venues, yet they put us to shame in punctuality, never mind attendance. I left for a 1:00 game in LA at 10:30 from "an hour away" and still missed the national anthem.

How does showing up 15 minutes late to avoid a $10 parking fee further feed the Florida sports fan stereotype? because some/many so. fla fans are CHEAP...i guess they don't realize how lucky they have it.....$10.00 to park is incredibly reasonable and all they do is whine about it or show up late to avoid it...but at least they're showing up...

How does showing up 15 minutes late to avoid a $10 parking fee further feed the Florida sports fan stereotype? South Florida fans (especially Miami Heat fans) are notorious for showing up late to games.
September 11, 200619 yr If you guys say so then I guess it happens but I don't know anyone who shows up intentionally late to avoid the parking fee. I do know people who are sometimes a little late to weeknight games because things come up and they get stuck at work. It's happened to me.
September 11, 200619 yr we always arrive about a half hour late, so as not to pay for parking. sorry if it feeds into a "stereotype," but we're already paying for four season tickets, i'd rather not pay an extra ten every time. especially to Huizenga

From Miami, I could put off leaving until the very last minute possible and I'll still have to sit in 45 minutes of stop-and-go traffic. In some ways, it was an easier commute when I lived in Palm Beach County.

The drive probably shouldn't take more than 20 minutes but it took almost two hours.
