I cant get a ticket!

Featured Replies

This s--ks I've been a good fan all year and all through the bad years too. I can't even get a ticket! All 5 games I've attended this year I have had to sit in the upper deck which I don't mind...but right now i can't even get a GOOD upper deck seat.

All the bandwagoners have taken the tickets.

Buy one from a scalper.

Wow, never thought I'd ever have to do that for a Marlins game.

some dude got arressted for scalping to an undercover officer... shows you should never advertise on a newspaper if scalping.

in his defense he advertised he would sell them at face value, but he shouldve known they would be watching

It isn't illegal to sell them at face value if you are not on stadium grounds.

I meant buy them from someone at the game. There are always people that buy extra tickes to sell and make a quick buck off of.

i know, but once he got perspective customers, he tried to rip them off

Ive had to buy Marlins tix from a scalper one time. It was in 1999 against the Yankees, game was soldout mostly with Yankees fans. That was the game when a call went against the Yankees (I believe Torre got ejected) and all the Yankees fans threw the mouse pads that were the giveaway onto the field.

Scalping in reality isn't really illegal if its over face value either. The key is not to do it on stadium grounds or too close to the stadium.

or call up Todd's Tix or something or a ticket broker....

and this just in: i have tix waiting for me if i can get out of bloomington..... joy

they gave away mouspads? what an odd giveaway for a baseball game. guess i would want a marlins mousepad if i didnt have a laptop, therefore, no mouse

he offered face value, but once people went up to him he wanted double or triple the face value. cop busted him for that. it was on the news last night

You're probably the only one that held onto it.

You're probably the only one that held onto it. dude i love my mousepad, i didnt even have a computer at the time. once i did get a computer a year later i quickly took it out and told my family this is our mousepad, no matter what. it has on it when the Marlins came back from a 4-0 defecit at LA that season to win their first series of the season.

wasn't it Paul O'Neill that got tossed

funny: Michelle Kaufman said it was Torre that got thrown out in yesterday's paper but I remembered it being Paulie!

Funny you mention Paul O'Neil.

I was the first person to spot him when he walked into Don Carters Bowling Alley. As he walked by me, I said, "You're paul O'Neil." He said, "Yeup" and kept on walking.

yeah, i believe Paul got ejected, and then Torre followed. i cant remember what happened that caused the ejection

Purchase tickets from Ebay. There has to be people auctioning off tickets.

for the NLCS in Miami i dont see any tickets for under 350 bucks

Paul O'Neill at Don Carter's?

Yeah, I remember O'Neill got thrown out at 1st and then they ejected him.

Just for posterity I did a check on some tickets for Games still available. I don't remember about the other games (for each of the three games I checked for one ticket and for two tickets) but for Game 4 there are no two tickets together left unsold.

I couldn't get good seats either so I opted for nothing. I'd rather have a GREAT view of the game from home. I think it's sad - we root our a**es of when this team sucks and we get shut out on good seats when they make the playoffs. I got through to Ticketmaster at 12:12 pm and they had outfield only for the first home game. Damn.

I checked some ticket brokers on line - the GREAT seats are going for $1,000.00 each right now. Incredible.

Just some FYI, but I was amazed with the view from upper deck Center Field. It really is something else. But if you aren't in the first 5 or 6 rows you might miss a catch that is close to the Teal Monster.
