October 6, 200322 yr Expect TONS of Cub fans at PPS. Not looking good from what people on other forums are saying... On the Cubs' MLB board I read more than one post of parties of 10 or more making the trip. This means many others will be planning on it also.
October 6, 200322 yr ok...let say WORST CASE SCENARIO 1,000 cubs fans coming with 65,000 sceamin' marlins fans i doubt you'll hear much
October 6, 200322 yr well all we can do is try to drown them out which you we can... some of us are Cuban right BB84
October 6, 200322 yr Well, keep in mind that the tix went on sale b4 they won the game at Atlanta. Don't expect anything like Atlanta.
October 6, 200322 yr heh, in addition. I expect Miami Dade Police to take care of them. Not sure if anyone noticed, when they escorted quite a few Giants fan without asking any questions.
October 6, 200322 yr Cubs fans are in teal territory. we are not passive like the Braves fans. They are sadly mistaken if they come down here to cause trouble.

October 6, 200322 yr dude their baseball fans, not a gang. you make it sound like the bloods are going to drive through a Crypt territory Cubs fans come to your ballpark. then they get drunk (PPS don't serve beer after the 7th inning, so to stop this) then they create trouble whether they win or lose. Just ask the Braves fans who are cleaning up the morning after.

They were just being loud and cocky, only one of them was being violent. It was clearly a case of shoting first and asking questions later.
October 6, 200322 yr ahh, so do Jets, bills, and Patriot fans when they come here (andi experienced Bear fans last season). we can handle it
October 6, 200322 yr Author 1,000 cubs fans? This season I went to a Cubs-Marlins matchup at the Pro, and believe me there were FAR more than 1,000. The Marlins fans sat in the upper deck, it was one of those surprise 30,000 people games where the walk-up crowd got crap seats. I believe Wood pitched a shut-up and Penny only gave up one run. Anyways, there were at least HALF Cubs fans. Kinda worries me because its hard for the team to come home and not see many of their fans. On the other hand I'm sure the Cubs fans were securing tickets to their home games before they thought about PPS, we'll see what happens.
October 6, 200322 yr Guys there wont be LOTS of cubs fans there WILL be a good amount but hardly audible

I think at the most 5,000. that would be a stretch, but that would be the most.
October 6, 200322 yr From my estimations there will be between 7,000-13,000 Cubs' fans. How did you come up with that number?
October 6, 200322 yr theres was like 20k at turner, why not that much at pro especially with the 67k capacity
October 6, 200322 yr Please.....DROWN THEM OUT. F the cubs and their fans, and call Sammy a CHEATER every time he bats. Im serious, i'll be at a bar, with a Marlins hat and we'll be Cheering for the FISH. GET EM!
October 6, 200322 yr Why less than Atlanta? More Cubs fans in the midwest can make a drive to Atlanta. We're far away. No more than 17 or 18 thousand.
October 6, 200322 yr How did I come up with that number? It was a s***ty guess. There were probably 5-7,000 Cub fans when they came to Miami. That game was on the schedule for more than 7 months until it happened. These games will be on the schedule for a week. It can't be more than Atlanta. Who knows? The important thing is to drown them out!!!!!!!!!!!
October 6, 200322 yr Author 17 or 18 is a lot guys, certainly 40 thousand fans aren't as encouraging as 40 thousand. Too bad we can't get support at Wrigley.
October 6, 200322 yr Even if there aren't a lot, the media will portray it as if half the place was filled with cub fans. The truth was there werent a ton of cub fans down at turner field after the first game, but ESPN and Fox wanted it to look like there were

The cubs fans will stand out since they where red and blue. In atlanta they blended in due to the braves having the same colors.
