November 18, 200619 yr what so great about the authentic ones? why are they more than twice the price of the replicas? They are made with a more heavy-duty material and have the teal outlines in the numbers and letters. I have a couple of them and i love wearing them, makes me feel like part of the team i guess. But yeah, they shouldn't be that much more expensive than the replica.
November 18, 200619 yr I have an authentic Beckett jersey and a replica Pierre jersey. There is no real decipherable difference in the actual jersey itself that anyone would really notice. The biggest difference is that one has the awesome authentic lettering with numbers on the front, and the replica has the ugly solid black lettering. Just buy a replica plain jersey and some authentic lettering :thumbup
November 18, 200619 yr Author i just looked at the authentic black ( http://mlb.imageg.net/graphics/product_ima...2-1826821dt.jpg )and the replica black ( http://mlb.imageg.net/graphics/product_ima...2-1984605dt.jpg ) side to side. the only difference i see is that the teal is outline in white on the authentic, and i guess that looks a bit nicer, but no biggie. i can get 3 replicas for a little more than one authentic. i think that's kinda rediculous, but oh well. PS. anyone know any working discount codes for mlb.com?
November 18, 200619 yr Very easy. I had a replica Jordan jersey, and an authentic one I still have. Results are that once they hit the washer from 3-4 times, you start to notice the difference. Need I say more?
November 18, 200619 yr I suggest buying used replicas on eBay - got my Miguel Cabrera jersey for 30 dollars on there because it had a tear that had to be stitched. You can't even see it though.
November 18, 200619 yr Authentic's are so much better than replica's... The look, feel, the heavy duty material... I never have and never will by a replica Marlins/baseball jersey.... NEVER

WOW you got ripped off BIG! I bought an AUTHENTIC never used Miguel Cabrera Rookie year jersey for 30 bucks on ebay about a year ago.

I bought a Josh Beckett authentic home jersey on eBay for $49 about one day after he was traded to the Red Sox.
November 19, 200619 yr also, authentic jerseys have the MLB logo on the back of the neck area and the team patch on the sleeve
November 19, 200619 yr also, authentic jerseys have the MLB logo on the back of the neck area Can't have a jersey without the MLB logo on the back. also, authentic jerseys have the MLB logo on the back of the neck area and the team patch on the sleeve You can buy the patches separatly and sew them on yourself. It'd still cost less than an authentic.
November 19, 200619 yr Author also, authentic jerseys have the MLB logo on the back of the neck area and the team patch on the sleeve yeah, i noticed that. looks nicer, i guess. i'm still gonna get 3 replicas instead of one authentic though. no players. one home, one away, one black. :thumbup
