November 28, 200619 yr http://www.majic1027.com/listingsentryfeat...amp;PT=Features Good luck to him! He has been on the radio forever and has always been one of the most enjoyable DJs to listen to anywhere. South Floridians know him...heck you're parents likely listened to him at ngiht when they where in middle or high school.
November 28, 200619 yr I remember when I was a little kid and going on a route with my dad for his job. He used to listen to Rick and Sudds every morning on WAXY. Good times. :cool
November 30, 200619 yr I never knew Rick Shaw was the Rick and Sudds Rick Shaw... he truely is a radio legend and one of a dying breed. As a broadcast journalism college student, I know that the crap we're hearing on the radio is just people with very little schooling in the field, who don't know what theyre doing and really are not personality wise fit for the radio. The days of guys like Rick are long gone, folks. So, whether you like oldies or not, listen to his show once before he retires if you haven't already, becuase you may never have a chance to hear old style radio again.
December 1, 200619 yr Actually, the Rick from Rick and Suds was Rick Riley. The good old days on WIOD...Rick and Suds in the morning, Uncle Neil midday, and Phil Hendrie afternoons...good times. :thumbup Back on topic, I used to listen to Rick Shaw in the morning before I got my satellite radio. Great show. He definitely will be missed.

December 13, 200619 yr Friends of ours lived next door to him when he lived (or is still living) in Coral Gables. He had the hugest collection of Beatles memorabilia I had ever seen. Real sweet guy. Genuine and so nice. Good luck, Rick. You and I spent many early mornings and late nights together.
