Phil Nevin

What would you all think of Nevin as next years Wes Helms? Can he still play 3rd? A career .920 OPS vs. LHP. I know the guy strikes out a ton but he might not be that bad of an option. As always, depends on the price.

Definitely an intersting name. Haven't really heard his name much this offseason. If his asking price wasn't too high, I'd love to have him.

It is a good idea though, Iowa

lol thanks buddy

This market is crazy.. although I guess he did have 22 bombs last year. Can anyone see him landing a starting gig or is a higher market team just going to overpay him to sit on the bench? I'm guessing the latter. Would he command more money than Helms? (i forget how much he ended up getting)

The deal was worth approximately 2yr/$5.5 million and includes an option for a third year.
