LaDainian Tomlinson was voted the Associated Press' Offensive Most Valuable Player for 2006.

Tomlinson ran for 28 touchdowns, scored three on receptions, and threw two more. He led the NFL in rushing with 1,815 yards. The margin of his victory (Tomlinson received 44 of the 50 votes) is surprising considering Drew Brees' season, but there's no question that LT2 was deserving. Peyton Manning finished third with two first-place votes.

no, lt was a part of the vick trade, in that case, the chargers owned the falcons.

ironically, i have two friends, one falcons fan that hates vick, another giants fan that hates eli. i just look at what little they have done with those two and think the chargers just know how to screw people up. all those players the chargers got for two underperforming hype machines.

btw, one of my friends in Mississippi said that eli was overrated before he was drafted.

drew brees helped the saints in their resurrection of their team. i'm shocked he got so little votes though.

i would like to know who voted for peyton?

i hope they don't cheat sean payton out of his coach of the year award though.

lt and brees were part of the vick trade, rivers, merimann and a couple of others were part of the eli trade. the chargers gyped both of them, nether of them are doing much of anything.

Brees did a great job this year, but LT had an ALL-TIME type year, so I have no problem with him winning it. I was rooting for Brees to take the Comeback player award, but they gave it to...ugh, a Jet.
