The Associated Press selected Sean Payton of the Saints as the NFL Head Coach of the Year.

The first-year coach led New Orleans to rebound from a 3-13 record to 10-6, an NFC South title, and a first-round bye. Payton received 44 of the 50 votes, while the Jets' Eric Mangini got three and San Diego's Marty Schottenheimer and Tennessee's Jeff Fisher split the final two.

payton deserved it. the saints were a complete mess last year, and don't forget the whole relocation things. he turned a team of losers into a team of winners. he brought order to an orderless team and rebuilt this team in just one year. they surprised everyone, even the saints fans, that were hoping for just a .500 season at best.
