To whoever went to the game

Tommy Hutton said around 20,000 were there. I can believe that. I was there - there were plenty of Cubs fans in my section. They were very loud - and proud. I am sure he was on the money with that guess.

I wouldn't call them proud. They were obnoxiuos. Is going to be worst tomorrow, unless we blown them out with a lot of runs

Yeah, I was at the game. With two other Fish Fans and one Cub fan. We were in the outfield. From where I was sitting, I would be shocked if there were more than 10,000 Cubs fans there. We were all pretty much in agreement on this point.

I agree with TH...There probably was 20k there...

My question is...how the hell do that many cub fans get their hands on tickets? The game sold out in what? 6 or 7 hours after tickets went on sale?

Unfortunately for me, there were quite a few of them where I was seated. I tried my best to drown 'em out until my voice gave out.

Cubs fans have alot of money and credit cards for online ticket purchasing

Where were you guys sitting? I'm really surprised by this. One in 3 people were Cubs fans? Even outside the stadium it looked like 1 in 6 at best.

I was in right field...there were a ton of cubs fans, and one fight. They were loud, but we were louder. Every cub fan near me was actually nice.

There were plenty of Cubs fans. Remember, Cubs fans are like Braves and Yankee fans in the fact that they can be found anywhere. The Cubs fans near me were from South Florida. They were loud, but I must say that they were some of the nicer fans of an opposing team I've had near me at games. They supported their team, let us support ours, and were pretty complimentary of the Marlins when they did things right. Basically, they were actually baseball fans.

A lot of people who buy the tickets are just working for ticket brokers & agencies. They buy as many tickets as they're allowed, then the agencies suddenly have thousands of tickets with which to sell to the highest bidder. In particular, Chicago fans willing to pay anything.

That might actually explain why Cubs fans have an image nationally of being friendly, knowledgeable fans ... the drunken idiots, which make up half their fan base, are mainly found in and around Wrigley, while many that fill opposing stadiums are just non-Chicagoans who enjoy watching the team on WGN. I'd never considered that before ...

I think 1 in 5 were Cubs fans, its just they are relatively loud.

And I agree, the Cubs fans from South Florida have had the Wrigley taken out of them. But the ones from Chicago, on the other hand, absolutely suck and I hope they all die on the flight back.
