New Caps

Featured Replies

I'm in favor of the new technology and will be replacing my 39-Thirty New Era cap once the new 59-Fifty ones are available (and they are currently available at the Roger Dean Stadium Clubhouse Store). My caps get pretty "funky" after a while due to sweat and what-not. Plus, they tend to shrink at least one size, sometimes two after prolonged periods. These new caps are supposed to stop "shrinkage" and "funk". What's wrong with that!?!

They had them at the New Era store here in NY and the hat is really unchanged, visually. It isn't even that much lighter, I think it's basically an attempt ot try to justify a mark-up in hat prices while attempting to get the truly rabid to buy more.

Oh, and FYI, the New Era store has a machine that will resize hats for you.

Any idea where I can get some hats re-sized in Miami / South Dade??

It's really not a big deal. Instead of wearing a wool cap - which traps summer heat like a bitc# - they are using a new synthetic material. Any avid outdoorsman can tell you that they don't wear wool or cotton on their outings anymore...

It's gonna be strange. I used to get hats that were too big because I know they're going to shrink. I know what size I wear in a broken in hat, but one that doesn't shrink is going to feel odd to me I think. Just preference for what is known I suppose...
