Alrighty, well I'm heading down to South Florida on Friday with some friends. (Gotta love the 13 hour drive) But anyways I'm going to be staying in Davie Friday and Saturday night before going on my cruise Sunday. I was wondering if anyone had suggestions that my friends and I could do for St. Patty's Day? Is there anywhere in paticular you would suggest going or doing?

Ft Lauderdale--Las Olas on Himmarshee(sp). Nice row of hot spots there.

 

And I'd recommend South Beach to anyone coming to South Florida. It ain't cheap, but it's awesome!

 

Also, you'll be somewhat near Hard Rock, and there are a bunch of bars/clubs there too.

las olas is always packed and usually a good time - sometimes it's almost too packed though. last year it was taking like 20 minutes to get a beer, and that's the type of sh*t that really serves as a buzzkill. still if i had to recommend a place in ft. lauderdale that's a relatively inexpensive and enjoyable place to get bombed for st. pat's day this would be the place. if i stay in ft. lauderdale this will be where i go.

 

hard rock bars/clubs are more upscale than the las olas bars/clubs but if you're willing to pay they are fun.

Hit up the Hard Rock... Its going to be kickin' that night... South Beach is an option too.. Im going to have a little fun at either one of those places.. Havent decided yet

I don't know why, but it strikes me as funny that someone will be celebrating an Irish holiday in a predominantly Hispanic area. "Green chips and salsa for all my Irish homies! Now enjoy a delicious green Corona..."

last year they had this shindig outside miracle mile that was nice.

If you go to South Beach, hit up Wet Willys and order a 'Call the Cab' :notworthy

Speaking of St. Pattys day, I went to see the Dropkick Murphys last night. Probably the best show I've ever been too, absolutely amazing. Crazy Crowd, 1:45 long set, just crazy

i'll be seeing flogging molly for the 2nd straight st. patricks day - they too put on a good show - would like to see the dropkick murphys though
