March 20, 200719 yr So in the past 5 or 6 months me and my fiancee have been getting in to having music on when we do the deed. I used to never think I'd like having something on purposely but I've grown to love it. It used to be if something was on, so be it, but I'd never choose something. Now I'm almost always putting something on. I know we have a lot of people with good music tastes/and or experience with this and I was wondering what some of the things you would recommend. Recently I've been playing a lot of Robin Thicke. Some other general bands I've been putting on: Thievery Corporation Sia John Legend Sufjan Stevens (Seven Swans specifically) Donnie Dark OST Damien Rice Anyone else got anything they rotate or to recommend?
March 20, 200719 yr Slayer Judas Priest Iron Maiden Metallica Megadeth etc. What can I say? I do it to metal.
March 20, 200719 yr Who Were You Thinking Of? by the Texas Tornadoes Who were you thinking of When we were making love Last night? Was it a good looking stranger Or a close friend of mine? You didn't want to quit When we were into it Last night Who were you thinking of When we were loving last night? Who were you thinking of When I was making love To you? Put a smile on your face I hadn't seen for a while You got more out of it Than I put into it Last night Who were you thinking of When we were loving last night? Who were you thinking of When we were making love Last night? Was it a good looking stranger Or a close friend of mine? You didn't want to quit When we were into it Last night Who were you thinking of When we were loving last night? Who were you thinking of When we were loving last night? Always puts em in the mood.
March 20, 200719 yr Never tried it, but songs I've always thought about: Baker Street by Gerry Rafferty Europa by Santana Moments in Love (full version by Art of Noise And then songs that I've always thought might work if you have the right partner, but also might crash and burn miserably: Ride my Pony by Genuwine Anywhere by 112 Peaches and Cream by 112
March 20, 200719 yr Author Europa is a fantastic choice. *Adds to playlist* I could never play gangster rap or most any rap even though I like it because we'd end up laughing our asses off.
March 20, 200719 yr I'll have to peep that song...what genre is it? I was mostly joking about that song. Good song, but it's kind of southern rock-ish, ala Son Volt. But judging by your choices, I'd say something like Badly Drawn Boy, the Mermaid Avenue albums by Wilco and Billy Bragg, or maybe Bright Eyes I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning.
March 20, 200719 yr Juanky you stole the words right out of my mouth. Europa is an absolutely brilliant song for the task.
March 20, 200719 yr "Samba Pa Ti" by Santana is a good one. It is technically by Ottmar Liebert and Santana, but it is all about Santana on this track. Beautiful, check it out.
March 20, 200719 yr Author Pretty much anything by Portishead. Wow, I should have thought about that before. I already have 'Dummy' Thanks for the suggestion.
March 20, 200719 yr sade is always good and marvin gaye of course :thumbup A particular Sade album I would recommend for some serious body grooving would be "Lovers Rock". A few other ideas: "Love Is Stonger Than Death" by The The Almost anything by the electro/pop group, Olive "Halo" by Depeche Mode
March 20, 200719 yr 'Smooth Operator' should play whenever I enter a room. A smooth operator doesn't need suggestions on what songs to play while making love from a Florida Marlins message board. :lol Especially when you're a Red Sox fan.
March 20, 200719 yr Anything by Nightmares on Wax for sure. http://www.amazon.com/Nightmares-on-Wax/artist/B000AQ6W9C Smoker's Delight is one of the best albums.
