fox gun said 100 once and 98 and 99's a few times, but only after the sosa temple music

He hit 98 a lot throughout the course of the game.

The ball that hit Cabs was on purpose, IMO.

of course it was...

especially with easy out DLee on deck

Damn i have a sick sense of humor :confused

Ladies,

I just want to say that Josh Beckett's career started tonight. A two-hitter shutout @ the NLCS Game 5 with the season on the line. It can't get better than that. Also, McKeon's move to sit Encarnacion down paid off. Lowell hit a two-run homer and gave the Marlins the lead. Then came Pudge (once again) and Conine. :p It will all come down to the pitching. Tuesday's game is gonna be a hell of a game.

sick man, just sick

lol i have a sick sense of humor as well

sosa was beckett's b*tch today

bb84 feels me

Man it's so great Josh getting all this recognition. It's long overdue! I've been saying he's going to be one of the best pitchers in baseball since the first time I saw him pitch, and now he is.

Josh gets plenty of love down here man. Just a matter of the rest of the world finding out he isn't a prospect any more, he is a frigging G.

I'll tell you, the one thing I DID know about the Marlins before I became a member of this site and all that was that they have a lot of young good pitching. I mean you guys have got Burnett, Redman, Pavano, Willis, Penny, Looper, and a guy or two I think i'm forgetting, but Beckett appeared, at least by what I saw today, to be the class of it. Marlins are set for a long time in pitching if they can keep the staff together.

Nate Bump :D

i still love trelle but mostly because of his attitude on the team. that kid is great.

And the most important thing of course.....Josh showed the world that, like AJ, hes got major cojones.

Very true. That puss *ss sosa was yelling all kinds of crap at him, and he didn't back down, and then he struck him out. I gained a lot of respect for the kid after that. Now Pavano needs to follow suit in game 6.

I have followed Beckett since the year he was drafted and of all the games and innings i have seen him pitch i have never seen him have that type of "fire" that he had today, he went into the game knowing he would not lose...
