Posted March 30, 200718 yr this is hilarious. found out about this on around the horn today, but here's the story. NIT's winning team celebrates in shirt with spelling goof (Charleston, W. VA-AP) March 30, 2007 - The West Virginia University Mountaineers are so proud of being the NIT champs, they didn't mind that their championship T-shirts were misspelled. They wore the shirts anyway - even though the "Virginia" in "West Virginia" was spelled without the third letter "I" - the one that comes before the "A." The shirts said, "West Virgina." The players wore them anyway after last night's 78-to-73 win over Clemson. WVU's sports information director says the shirts were printed by the NIT. It's the first title in the NIT for West Virginia in 65 years. http://www.wistv.com/Global/story.asp?S=6304720 :lol
