Even recently, there really hasn't been anything unlikeable about them. Wouldn't you guys hate the Braves or the Mets more? I know Phillies fans hate the Braves and Mets much more than the Marlins.

I hate teams either because of the geographical rivalry, historical rivalry, or just because they have plenty of championships.

I'm a Redskins fan as well as a Marlins fan. My division rivals include the Eagles and the Phillies, my teams play them often, and get beat by them often, thus the Phillies and the Eagles get on my nerves more than almost any team in their respective league. Let me also add - the Phillies logo is awfully stupid looking.

May 23, 200719 yr Oh, I wanted to add - Citizens Bank Park is really nice. I took a trip up there (I live in VA so the only games I see are in DC, BAL, or if I'm feeling crazy, PHI) and really enjoyed it.

Most of the posters here are diehards and go to a reasonably high amount of games per year, but they may take that personally.
May 23, 200719 yr You're just trolling for trouble here....but I'll contribute. I'm sure that there are decent Phillie fans, and Philly players. And it's a great city...I mean, you have that killer Liberty Bell and all. And some other great stuff I guess, though nothing comes to mind immediately. I've hated Phillie fans since 1964, when I was 7. In those days I was a Mutts fan....and I used to go to many games. I have vivid memories of how the Philly fans were different, obnoxious, disgusting. Going to a Mets-Phillies game was different than ANY other team. There's nothing that's happened over the years that's made me change that opinion. Just talking generally. Don't throw any batteries. And I have no idea what's going through Scott Olsen's mind. I'm not sure he does either.
