There is no doubt that Beinfest really constructed a fantastic bullpen for the next few years. Tankersley, Pinto, Lindstrom, Owens, Gregg. Even Carlos Martinez and Logan Kensing. These are guys, maybe with the exception of Gregg, that will be here for at least the next 3 to 4 years.

....Harvey Garcia, and then eventually could be the likes of Olsen, Nolasco, Sanchez, Ben Julianel, Jesus Delgado, JJ, Gaby Hernandez, Chris Mobley, Sinkbeil, Marceaux (not gonna count the youngins yet)

Gregg's got a 1.20 WHIP.

Not saying that he hasn't done a spectacular job for us, but he's statistically very very similar to another closer we just saw, David Weathers.

I think the handshakes and high-fives need to go to Justin Miller, and the bullpen performance as a whole.

His stuff is better than Weathers and he is much younger.

I don't think Swift was debating that

Aren't Sinkbeil and Volstad both in Jupiter?

Correct.

But Volstad is just 20(21 in Sept) , while Sink is 22 (23 in Dec)

I just think college guys are always on more of a fast track, thats all

I agree Sinkbeil is farther ahead, but not too much.

I don't even know if he is further ahead, but once they turn Sink into a reliever he will be :mischief

Oh, I have given Gregg love....look below!

i love that video. could watch it a million times in a row. excellent stuff. fantastic creativity.

We are giving love to Jason wood, Aaron Boone, ect. But the is not a topic about Kevin. Sure hes been mentioned, but think about it. WE TRADED CHRIS RESOP FOR THIS GUY. I personally liked Chris as a player and as a personality at Spring Training games, but this must be the steal of the year.

UMMMM, I think I deserve the honor of being president of the Kevin Gregg fan club, I was one of the few to praise this move, and told all of you he will be great before the season even started.

you also said Mike Koplove was going to be great as well as Russ Ortiz in San Fran :mischief

I didn't know Gregg would be this great, but I did think this was a great deal based on Gregg's past. Awesome trade.

You think the bullpen is in JJ, Scotty O, and Gaby's future?

never know...

lots of bodies, just 5 rotation spots

i think olsen would fight anyone to keep his rotation spot

i never see him moving to the pen, too stubborn...if he's not in our rotation he'll be in someone elses

where is ramp now? did you not state gregg was no good? I have a keen eye for talent, this is our guy!

For every Kevin Gregg type predictions you make, there are about five "We need Pablo Ozuna in CF" predictions you also make...

Back on topic, we reamed the Angels in this trade.

Forget his pitching ability, I love Gregg for his glasses alone.

He walked out to the Strike Zone on Sunday to do pictures with the kiddies. The wife and I didn't even recognize him without the glasses. LOL Actually he looked almost scared to be there until things got rolling. Impressed me as being a quiet, reserved, and very polite young man.

I see no sensible reason why he wouldn't be in our rotation...

except for things like if his mph/endurance starts to fade in late innings, he can't get righties out, someone pitches better than him, he gets hurt/thrown in jail and someone pitches well in his place

He often shows flashes of brilliance. Remember, he is just 23-years-old. Consistency could come with experience. As for right now, we have nobody better to replace him with.

I think we have different definitiosn for "often" or "brilliance" or maybe both.
